Tear drops frozen on my cheek,
To some I am low and cheap,
Others flock to look upon me,
I no longer have their needs,
Running from my burning core,
Running away from the one I adore,
It isn't a game anymore,
I am now frozen at my core,
If he comes near once more ,
I'll step aside and look no more,
It is not what I chose to be,
But I am used to others leaving me,
So I hold ice close to my heart,
No more pieces will depart,
I've given much to those I love,
No more pain when I am frozen though,
My breathing has again gained speed,
My pulse rushes with the warmth I need,
I'll take one more look,
Giving again freely what others roughly took,
Turn the page with each hopeful thought,
Take a chance when others would not,
I am now melting away with love ,
My heart is free to seek his touch.
